El Cumpleaños

After taking a small hiatus, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on some of the biggest lessons this journey has taught me.

The first: taking a break can create alignment.

Four years ago, on my birthday, I made the decision to start a business. I had a dream of building something meaningful while honoring the stories behind every piece.

Stepping away gave me the space to reflect, grow, and reconnect with the purpose behind what we’re building. Sometimes, in order to move forward, we have to let go of what no longer aligns with where we’re going.

This past year taught me that building something meaningful takes time, patience, resilience, and a community that believes in the vision, because building a business was never meant to be done alone.

The second lesson: founders are also human.

This year, I made my way to Japan, and of course I couldn’t leave our products behind. After all the chaos, changes, and unexpected turns of last year, it’s crazy to look back and realize we made it here. Seeing our products across the world was a reminder to keep dreaming bigger.

As we enter our fourth year, our brand has evolved. It has grown into something even more intentional, and we are bringing all of those experiences, lessons, and memories back to where it all started.
