After taking a small hiatus, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on some of the biggest lessons this journey has taught me.

The first: taking a break can create alignment.

This past year taught me that building something meaningful takes time, patience, resilience, and a community that believes in the vision. Stepping away gave me the space to reflect, grow, and reconnect with the purpose behind what we’re building.

The second: founders are also human.

Four years ago, on my birthday, I decided to start a business. I had a dream of building something meaningful while honoring the stories behind every piece.

This year, I made my way to Japan, and of course, I couldn’t leave our products behind. After all the changes and unexpected turns of the last year, it’s surreal to look back and realize we made it here. Seeing our products across the world was a reminder to keep dreaming bigger.

Beyond building a business, this journey has also been about building myself.

This journey has challenged me, shaped me, and reminded me that growth doesn’t always look the way we imagine. Sometimes growth is stepping back, letting go, and becoming someone new while honoring who you’ve always been.
